Ingredients
- Turkey
- Butter
- 2 onions
- 1 orange
- bay leaves
- Bacon
- Olive oil
Methodology
Prep
Defrost in refrigerator.
Season the cavity with salt and pepper. Place two halved onions, and an orange and bay leaf to the cavity.
Push butter under the skin being careful not the break the skin.
Cover the skin with butter and drizzle of olive oil.
Cooking Instructions
Pre-heat the oven to 425F
Cook the oven at 425F for 10 minutes.
Baste the turkey and cover with bacon.
Set the oven to 350F.
Cook the turkey for 3 hours. Basting occasionally.
Rest the turkey for as long as you cook it.
